Local Councils have opened applications for grants for streetscape works in local towns.
Funding was announced under the Streetscape Enhancement Initiative earlier this summer.
Grants will be allocated for the upgrade and enhancement of street facades and shopfronts, in a bid to improve the look and feel of towns across the country.
Both Cavan and Monaghan Councils have started to appeal for applications.
Residential, commercial and unoccupied premises in Ballybay, Carrickmacross, Monaghan, Ballyjamesduff, Belturbet and Cootehill are eligible.
Grants of up to €8,000 are available.
