'There is no place at our games on or off the field for this kind of behaviour'.
That's the message that GAA Director of Communications, Alan Milton had while speaking on the Joe Finnegan show earlier in relation to a 'violent incident' that occurred during the Monaghan/Armagh clash at Croke Park on Saturday.
A full garda investigation has been launched into the altercation that took place at around 8.20pm on Saturday evening.
Footage of the incident was posted and shared widely on social media.
Gardai confirmed in a statement to Northern Sound News last night that seven people were arrested during the quarter final game.
Alan Milton says over the course of the two days 140,000 people attended Croke Park and on the Saturday there was 15 ejections along with seven arrests while on the Sunday there were no arrests and no ejections.
The director of communications at the GAA says this kind of behaviour cannot be brushed under the carpet and has to be condemned.
