A group of friends from Oldcastle, Cavan and the surrounding areas are embarking on a cycling fundraiser in memory of the late Darren Connell and to promote positive mental health.
Harry Ryan, Pearce Sheridan, Ned Brunton, Sean Guirke, Craig Mullen, Ronan Peyton, and James McCluskey will embark on the cycle this Saturday, October 3rd, with all money raised going to mental health service Jigsaw.
The cycle will see the group cycle a distance of 111 kilometers in seven hours.
They will also bring seven footballs with them on their journey and cycle between local football pitches, commemorating Darren's love for GAA.
