Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald has called again for an independent public inquiry into the death of Monaghan man Shane O'Farrell in the Dail this afternoon.
She said that herself and Deputy Matt Carthy have called for this inquiry for many years now following long long delays.
Mr O'Farrell who was 23, died after a hit and run incident by a man who was on bail and had 42 previous convictions, while he was out cycling his bike in August 2011.
Previously Deputy Carthy told Northern Sound news that State agencies have "delayed" the O'Farrell family's access to justice for their son.
Speaking to the Taoiseach this afternoon about the repeated call for an inquiry into the Monaghan man's death, Deputy Mary Lou told added that a final report has been with Minister for Justice for over a year now.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar confirmed that this report would be released very soon.
The Sinn Fein leader said it almost 12 year since Shane was killed and these delays for information for O'Farrell family isn't good enough.
