Over much of the Northern Sound region temperatures remain well below zero creating widespread ice and patches of fog in places. Met Éireann's Gerry Murphy says this will continue throughout the day, and in many places temperatures will not reach above freezing at all which people must be aware of. Speaking to Northern Sound, he urged motorists to remain vigilant during the cold snap.
