Free play events are taking place across Co Monaghan to celebrate National Play Week.
National Play Week runs until the 9th of July and every local authority has received funding to provide an array of activities for children.
The first event kicks off around now with "Freeplay Fun on the Urban Lawn" in front of Monaghan Courthouse.
The event runs until 12.30pm and is suitable for children aged 4 to 11.
There will also be a Teddy Bears' Picnic tomorrow at the Carrickmacross Civic Centre between 11 am and 1 pm, and at the same time on Friday at the Barry McGuigan Park in Clones.
There will also be a family fun day this Saturday between 12 and 3 pm at the St Patrick's Accommodation Centre.
