The free car parking scheme in place in Monaghan Town over Christmas ends this evening.
On-street parking in the town has been free from early December over the holidays and today.
The Council ran the scheme at the busiest time of the year to support local business and encourage people to shop local.
Although, for many people the holidays officially ended today, Monaghan County Council have included this first Monday after Christmas in the scheme.
From tomorrow though, all normal parking fees will apply in Monaghan Town.
