There's been a more than four-fold increase in the number of confirmed covid cases in Cavan General Hospital in the past month.

The number of confirmed cases last month, on the 5th of June, was six.
It's also more than double the number of Covid patients at the local hospital, when compared to the same period last week.
On the 28th of June, there were 11 confirmed cases.
Nationwide, 906 patients with the virus are in hospital as of this morning, and latest estimates suggest around half of these admissions are because of the virus.
Meanwhile, Cavan and Monaghan have the lowest 14-day incidence rates of the virus.
In the 14-day period leading up to the 28th of June, Cavan had the lowest incidence rate at 341 per 100,000 population.
The rate was slightly higher in Monaghan, which has the second lowest incidence rate, at 352 per 100,000.
There were 260 confirmed PCR cases in Cavan in the two-week period leading up the June 28th, and 216 in Monaghan.
Meanwhile, Co Limerick has the highest 14-day incidence rate, at 579.
