Four people who appeared before Judge Sandra Murphy at Sligo District Court charged with theft of over €900 worth of goods from a store in Cavan were granted bail of €1,000 cash each.
All four are residing at the same address in Co Dublin and were given a number of strict bail conditions, including signing on weekly at Tallaght Garda Station. All four face the same charge that on October 8 2024 at Dealz, Unit 5 Lakeland Retail Park, Dublin Road, Cavan did steal household goods, clothes and cosmetics to the value of €930.05.
Marinela Vasile (23) with an address at The Ranch, Boherboy Road, Saggart, Dublin, Manuela Vasile (30) also with the same address, Elvis Stingaciu (34), also from the same address and Petre Vasile (26) with the same address, all appeared before Judge Murphy at the district court. Gda Pat McAndrew and Gda Cathal Marren from Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution of the defendants in Carrick-on-Shannon on October 9.
Judge Murphy granted them bail of €1,000 cash and adjourned the matter back to Carrick-on-Shannon District Court on October 25 for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions. Solicitor Mr Gerard McGovern was granted legal aid.
