Brian Daly, the founder of CavanTV and DrumlinMedia will be laid to rest today. Tributes are being paid to Mr Daly who passed away on Monday. Mr Daly was widely regarded as a pioneer in his field, setting up one of Ireland's first online TV stations, CavanTV. He was also the founder of DrumlinMedia and his focus was on promoting the local community both locally and to a wider audience.
Hundreds of messages of tribute have been made to Brian on social media, with many referring to him as a gentleman and a true professional. His former colleague, Paul Cox, described the news of his death as heartbreaking in a post that reads "Rest in peace my friend, thanks for the memories".
Brian is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren and extended family. The removal of Mr Daly will take place this morning at 11:15am, travelling to St Michael's Church, Cootehill, arriving for funeral mass at 12 noon. He will be laid to rest afterwards in the adjoining cemetery]
