A former Monaghan IFA chairman is tipped to be the next local regional chairman.
Clontibret's Nigel Renaghan is the outgoing Ulster-North Leinster Chairman, and Frank Brady is one of two nominees to succeed him.
Brady was the Monaghan IFA chairman until this year, and will go up against the Meath chairman John Curran.
Cavan's Elizabeth Ormiston had put her hat into the ring for the position, but failed to gain the required nominations outside of her county.
Renaghan's two year term comes to an end later this year, with elections expected to be held in November and December.
