A former local District Court Judge has said Seamus Woulfe's position on the Supreme Court is untenable after he attended the controversial Oireachtas Golf

A former local District Court Judge has said Seamus Woulfe's position on the Supreme Court is untenable after he attended the controversial Oireachtas Golf Society dinner.

The former Attorney General was among the attendees at the dinner and former Judge Seán MacBride has said he should resign.

Speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show today he questioned why a Supreme Court Judge had chosen to attend a dinner with TDs, Senators and a Government Minister.

He said he had damaged the reputation of the judiciary by breaching the separation of powers.

Former Chief Justice Susan Denham is investigating Judge Woulfe's attendance at the dinner.

Seán MacBride who's the former District Court Judge in Cavan and Monaghan said while Judge Woulfe had also breached Government Covid-19 guidelines, he has damaged the judiciary by socialising with politicians:
