A former Cavan-Monaghan TD says it's vital that there are no barriers put in place which could prevent some people from accessing a future covid-19 vaccine.
Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin is a signatory of a petition to the European Commission which would require the Commission to ensure equal access for all humankind to a Covid-19 vaccine when available.

It comes amid fears that countries such as the United States could buy up the global supply of a future vaccine.

The Sinn Féin representative noted that President Donald Trump has already bought up the global supply of remdesivir, a drug which can help recovery from Covid-19.
