The Food Safety Authority took part in a recent initiative with Monaghan Roads Policing Unit to "ensure food vehicles are in compliance with food law during transport".
On Tuesday, the Food Safety Authority took part in multi-agency checkpoints on N2 and N54 in Monaghan.
In a statement to Northern Sound, the FSA said it detected "non-compliances relating to traceability, labelling and cold chain maintenance in the food vehicles inspected".
It added that "official control agencies will follow up with these non-compliances".
