23 food producers across the Shannonside Northern Sound region have been shortlisted for this year's Blas na hÉireann, the Irish Food Awards.
The awards celebrate the very best in Irish food and drink and shines a spotlight on the committed and talented producers across the island.
An expert panel has over seen the judging process and the awards will be announced across Blas na hÉireann's social media channels over the course of the day on the third of October.
Nine producers from Cavan have been shortlisted, seven from Monaghan, four from Roscommon, two from Leitrim, and one from Longford.
The finalists shortlisted from Cavan across a range of difference categories are Aine Chocolates Ltd., Carleton Cake Co. Ltd., Fitzpatrick's Gourmet Ketchup infused with Poitin, Ice Cream Treats, Lakeland Dairies, Liffey Meats, McCarrens, Clonarn Clover, and Manor Farm.
The finalists shortlisted from Monaghan across a range of different categories are Arthur Mallons, Connolly Meats, Connollys Organic Eggs, IGWT Poultry Services, Lacpatrick Dairies, McCaughey Foods and Silver Hill Duck.
The finalists Leitrim across two different categories are Dromod Boxty Ltd. and Elements of Chocolate.
The finalists shortlisted from Roscommon across a range of different categories are Castlemine Farm, Oliver Carty, VOA Foods Ltd. Incorporating Do Me A Flavour and Waldron Family.
The finalist shortlisted from Longford is Goodness Grains.
