A status yellow fog warning has been issued for most of the country this morning. The advisory for Cavan, Monaghan, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath and all of Connacht and Munster is in effect until midday.
Met Éireann is warning hazardous driving conditions are likely. The weather forecast for Ulster this morning mentions "some pockets of dense fog" which will persist morning.
"These will gradually clear to leave a largely dry day with hazy sunny spells and isolated showers," according to the Met Éireann forecast.
