Local volunteers are setting up a group of Community First Responders (CFR's) in the Ballybay /Tullycorbet area. Community First responders are volunteers who are trained to attend certain types of emergency calls in the area where they live or work. Their aim is to reach a potential life-threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives.
Locals are invited to an information evening which will take place tonight in Pat O'Brien's meeting room above the pub in Ballybay from 7.30pm to 9pm.
