A local Senator says he hopes tomorrow's first-ever Adult Safeguarding Day will ensure elderly people "don't have to spend their days in a horrible situation".
Safeguard Ireland is co-ordinating the country's first Adult Safeguarding awareness event tomorrow, in partnership with organisations across the health, social, financial, and justice sectors.
The aim is to raise greater awareness and understanding of adult safeguarding and the prevention of abuse, neglect, and coercive control.
