The Monaghan Fire Service has moved into the new fire station in Castleblayney.
Work was complete on the building in recent weeks and the fire service transferred operations to it yesterday.
The new station is being built at a site along the old N2 road, complete with training tower and onsite accommodation.

It replaces the now former station at The Commons in the town.
It was first announced in 2016 as one of sixteen new fire stations to be built around the country. Work is also ongoing on plans for the new Fire Station in Ballybay.
