A Ballyconnell fireman says the amount of rubbish collected during a clean up last weekend was 'unbelievable'.
Fire crews from the west Cavan town carried out a litter pick on the Yellow Road on Saturday.
They filled a skip with rubbish like nappies, computers and tyres but the majority of it was household waste which could have been recycled.
Former Councillor and fireman Damien Brady says the group was happy to take part in the clean up but people were left dismayed buy the amount and type of rubbish dumped.
