Police are treating a fire at the popular former Railway Hotel in Enniskillen as arson.
Shortly after 5am yesterday morning, Wednesday, the 11th September, the PSNI received a report of a fire at the now derelict Railway Hotel on Forthill Street.
Officers attended the scene along with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service,who extinguished the blaze. Forthill Street was closed to traffic for morning school and commuter traffic while firefighters brought the blaze under control.
The busy town centre street was closed until after 7pm as the scene was cleaned up and made safe. The once hiving Railway Hotel building, which, is a landmark on the Enniskillen streetscape has been destroyed.
A statement from police said detectives are treating the fire as a arson and officers ask anyone with any information or who may have captured CCTV or dashcam footage of any suspicious activity in the area to call them in Omagh.
