A number of fines were issued by Gardaí in Bailieborough over the weekend in relation to parking breaches. According to local Gardaí, the fines were issued to motorists who had parked without a permit in parking bays designated for drivers with a disability.
As a result, Gardaí in Bailieborough are appealing to drivers to always consider those with mobility issues when parking in a public place. Gardaí added that it is highly important to never deny those with mobility issues access to their intended destination by blocking their access. Drivers are warned that it is an offence to park a vehicle in a disabled parking space unless you have a valid card.
