Fine Gael candidate elected on to Monaghan County Council

A new candidate has been elected on to the Monaghan County Council.

Seán Gilliland of Fine Gael has been elected after the fourth count for the Ballybay-Clones LEA.

Gilliland garnered 1,444 votes, pasing the established quota is 1,411. There are two more seats to be filled in the Ballybay-Clones LEA.
