The final tally is complete for the Monaghan Municipal District. Sinn Féin's Cathy Bennett is leading the poll with a tally of 1,219.
Monaghan publican and Fianna Fáil representative Raymond Aughey is following in second place with a tally of 1,113.
Long-standing Independent Seamus Treanor places third with a tally of 1,072. Newcomer Pauric Clerkin will be pleased with his performance. The Fine Gael Candidate tallying 979, putting him in fourth place. Whereas, party colleague-Fine Gael's David Maxwell, places fifth with a tally of 921.

Sinn Féin's Sean Conlon is in sixth place with a tally of 849, while his party colleague and newcomer Bronagh McAree gained a tally of 770.
