'Two men entered a property and assaulted another man with metal bars'

The charges relate to an incident on Tattenabuddagh Lane over the weekend as police investigated reports of a drink driver.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A total of four police officers were assaulted.

The male remains in police custody at this time.

The incident took place on Monday night on an island close to the popular Share Discovery Village
