The PSNI are asking people to be "on their guard" after a recent report of a scam in the Fermanagh area.
The appeal follows concerns in relation to an incident where a woman lost over £400 by selling a phone online.
According to reports, the victim agreed a price for selling the phone and met the buyer in Enniskillen town centre, Country Fermanagh.
When they met, the buyer led the victim to believe the money had been transferred via a bank transfer.
The buyer then left with the goods and the victim never received any money.
As a result the PSNI urging people to be "wary" when selling goods online, and to ensure that any money is received before handing over goods.
