A Co Fermanagh man has been returned for trial after being charged with multiple thefts between 2019 and 2022. 58-year-old Brian Milne (58) from Caldrum Road in Derrygonnelly faces eight charges of theft over the three-year period that includes tyres totalling £2,812.16; Audi shock absorbers at £180.18; a BMW alloy wheel at £482.61; tools valued at £158; a power washer at £558.13; oil sprays at £17.52 and various car parts at £214.07.
He is further charged with stealing fuel of an unknown value on or during the same dates. The case involves the theft of multiple mechanical items and fuel estimated in value at approximately £4,422.
The offences occurred on various dates between the10th of March 2019 and the 13th of September 2022, although no details surrounding the circumstances were disclosed during this week's short hearing into the matter.
A prosecuting lawyer told Enniskillen Magistrates Court there was a case to answer and Deputy District Judge Austin Kennedy agreed with those sentiments. Meanwhile, Mr Milne spoke only to confirm his identity and to indicate that he understood the charges brought against him.
He didn't object to the proceedings and declined - at this stage - to call witnesses or give evidence on his own behalf. Judge Kennedy subsequently remanded him on continuing bail and ordered him to appear for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court on a date in September.
