Female students at Ballyhaise Agricultural College say there's still some stigma about them studying in a male-dominated sector.
Last September was the first time the number of women enrolling at agriculture courses delivered jointly through DkIT and Teagasc Ballyhaise, outweighed men.
60 per cent of the current first years are female, approximately double of what it was four years ago.
Fourth year students Anna, Erin, Aoife and Sheree say they still get some comments about their career choices.
