The indefinite work-to-rule comes after a vote to strike over pay.

Passengers still don't know what impact the upcoming industrial action at Aer Lingus will have on their travel plans. Pilots at the airline will start an indefinite work to rule from next Wednesday meaning they won't do overtime or any out of hour duties.

They want pay increases of 24 per cent and have rejected a Labour Court recommendation of 9 per cent. Former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is disappointed that pilots rejected this offer. The airline says its working to ensure any disruption to flights next week will be minimal.
