Farmers in the Northern Sound region received €98 million in farming supports from September to December last year.
Figures published by the Department of Agriculture today show a total of €1.7 billion was paid out nationally across 10 schemes in the last four months of 2020.
Cavan farmers received combined payments of over €56 million across the four months from the Department.
Meanwhile, farmers in Monaghan received €42 million in farm support payments.
Cork received the highest allocation nationwide at almost €200 million, while Dublin farmers received the lowest combined amount at €10 million.
The figures cover a range of farming support payments such as GLAS payments and the Basic Payment Scheme.
