Farmers have gathered in Cavan this morning as part of national IFA protests.
The farming organisation is holding a total of four regional rallies today to highlight what it describes as the government's action in pursuing policies that will decimate Ireland's largest indigenous sector.
Tractors and jeeps met at the Meadow View Inn in Cavan at 7am, with further protests planned for Roscommon, Portlaoise and Cork later today.
Speaking ahead of the event, IFA Regional Chairman for Midlands-North Leinster Nigel Renaghan said the government's sectorial targets for greenhouse gas emissions aren't realistic.
