The family of a woman murdered in the border area in 1973 are holding a public meeting tonight in a bid to gather information on her unsolved murder.
18 year old Marian Beattie was killed after leaving a charity dance at a quarry outside Aughnacloy on March 30th 1973.
She was seen leaving the event at around 1am in the company of a man but she was found dead in the early hours of the following morning at the bottom of a quarry.
A murder investigation was launched but the person responsible has never been found.
Her family have organised tonight's meeting to make a direct appeal to people in the area who may have information.
It will take place in Aghaloo Community Centre in Aughnacloy at 7.30pm.
