A Monaghan businessman says some families have been left "disappointed" due to the high demand for bouncy castle rentals, amid a surge in communions and confirmations.
Owen Woods of Carrick Castles party hire believes sacraments should be "spread out" over a period of time, which would make more availability for companies to operate and accommodate everyone.
The Monaghan native told Northern Sound that some families had left it "too late" with his business receiving bookings from early January.
As a result, he advised any parents who have found themselves in a difficult position to call closer to the date, as last-minute cancellations can take occur for many different reasons.
