Local families are being forced to "fight tooth and nail" for a refund from airlines.
That's according to Cavan-Monaghan TD Niamh Smyth, who says many local travel agents have to absorb the costs of issuing refunds.
Deputy Smyth put the issue to the Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan, who said a commitment to fairness is required from airlines if they are to receive State financial support.
