Gardaí are trying to identify a woman who posed as a carer and entered the house of an elderly lady in Carrickmacross during the week. The imposter is described as being in her 40s, of heavy build and dark-skinned, possibly of African descent.
The woman in question posed as a carer for the elderly resident and trespassed in her house in the St Macartan's Villas / Convent View area of Carrickmacross during Monday afternoon and evening.
Now Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the trespasser and ask anyone who saw a woman matching that description on Monday to make contact. Gardaí also remind people to be vigilant when dealing with unsolicited callers to their door.
