Scoil Mhuire Boys National School in Castleblayney has just received approval for an extension. The plans include one mainstream classroom, one special needs classroom and an administration office.
The Minister for Education, Norma Foley, confirmed her approval for the extension to the boys' national school late Friday evening. Her party colleague Senator Robbie Gallagher, made the announcement locally.
He said such plans only get off the ground with work behind the scenes by school staff: "I'm delighted to receive confirmation from Minister Norma Foley that Scoil Mhuire BNS in Castleblayney has been given the go-ahead for an extension and refurbishment at the school," Senator Gallagher told Northern Sound, "The extension will include one mainstream classroom, one special education classroom and an administration office. Great credit must go here to the school proncipal, teaching staff and board of managemetn," he added.
