Every town in Cavan needs its own business park, that's according to local Fine Gael Councillor Peter McVitty.
The County Cavan Councillor proposed the motion at the most recent meeting of Cavan County Council.
Speaking to Northern Sound News he said he feels a business park could be constructed to facilitate the development and growth of indigenous services in towns across the county
Cllr McVitty said that these business parks increase revenue for the council through rent and rates, and encourage new businesses into the county.
He added that this was a way to let business owners considering moving to the Breffni County that we were open for business
Independent councillor Shane P O'Reilly supported the motion, referencing the relevance it would have in his own town of Mullagh.
Councillor Peter McVitty said that this would be great for employment and also would offer extra revenue for the local authority.
