A commemorative event to mark the 49th anniversary of the Dublin and Monaghan bombings will take place tomorrow.
The 17th of May 1974, was one of the darkest days of all during the era known as the Troubles.
A wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the Memorial to the victims on Talbot Street in Dublin at midday.
The bombings killed 33 people and badly injured hundreds of people.
Speeches will be delivered by Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council Cllr. Seán Conlon, Tánaiste Micheál Martin and the Lord Mayor of Dublin Caroline Conroy.
Journalist Vincent Browne will deliver the annual oration and prayers will be led by Fr. Tom Clowe.
