Two new electric vehicle charging hubs have been installed in County Monaghan.
The 150 kilowatt rapid charging points are now operational in Carrickmacross and Monaghan Town. The hubs have been delivered by leading EV infrastructure WEEV. The installation comes as part of the FASTER Project - an initiative by Louth County Council and East Border Region - aimed at encouraging sustainable transport use and ensuring the swift and easy transition to electric vehicles
Alongside two rapid charging hubs in County Monaghan, Weev will be installing a further 23 EV charge-points including some in Cavan "by the end of the year". The new charging points will be located at the courthouse car park in Monaghan town and the civic buildings in Carrickmacross. Attending the unveiling of the newly installed EV chargers, Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council Cllr.
