Just under half of the Broadband Connections Points locally are up and
running.
They form part of the rollout of the national broadband plan across the
country and will see wifi access points for public use in community
facilities.
The points are among the first connections being made in the rollout of the
plan nationally.
Locally, 26 of the 55 points had been declared live as of the 26th of
January.
Roscommon has seen seven of its eight points connected, with nine in
Monaghan, three in Longford and six in Cavan.
Just one of the 12 points planned for Leitrim have been connected.
