Facilities such as charging, heat, and tea/coffee are available.

Pat Clarke and many others like him in west Cavan, has been without power and water for seven days now.

Nationally, 108 thousand premises are still without power across the country.

The number of homes, businesses and farms still without power in the Northern Sound region is 10,000. 

ESB has drafted in technicians from Austria, ESB crews from the south and east of the country and even retirees to work on the issues in Cavan and Monaghan.

The figure is down from 17,000 this morning. The worst affected areas for power outages in both counties are Ballyjamesduff with 2,100 properties affected;

As of 9am this morning approx. 14,000 customers across both counties remain without power as a result of Storm Éowyn.

ESB Networks confirmed that these workers would be working alongside ESB crew members by this evening.
