ESB crews are still working to restore power after Storm Ashley battered Ireland yesterday.
217 customers are currently without power in the Ballyconnell area with an estimated restoration time of 2pm this afternoon. Other outages still unrepaired are in Carrickmacross where 79 customers are without power and Stradone where 60 customers are affected. Currently, according the ESB, these should be repaired by 6pm at the latest. Siobhán Wynne from ESB networks says crews have been repairing power cuts since early this morning.
"We've had about 16,000 customers out nationally at the moment, that's down from 53,000 customers yesterday. Our crews have been out again this morning working from first light. Currently we do have outages in this region across Longford, Cavan, Roscommon, Monaghan, and Leitrim but we're working to get power restored to the majority by lunchtime and everyone by later this afternoon".
