ESB is seeking planning permission to develop two 30-metre-high telecommunications masts in Co Cavan.
The masts would be constructed at ESB's Cavan Dept site Moynehall, Cavan Town and at an ESB substation in Latterriff, Shercock.
Both developments would consist of the construction of a 30-metre high, free standing communications structure alongside associated antennae, communication dishes and ground equipment, within a compound surrounded by fencing over two metres in height.
ESB says the masts "will provide vital communication services to the surrounding areas".
The planning applications add that "once built, the compound will be used two or three times annually by the operators accessing their equipment", resulting in a "limited impact on traffic of the main road".
A decision is expected by the 25th of February.
