ESB say a fault in on a "medium voltage line" caused power outages in north Monaghan yesterday evening. Approximately 1,100 customers in Scotstown, Tyudavnet, Knockatallon and the surrounding areas were without electricity from teatime.
A statement from the utilities company said "ESB Networks crews carried out the necessary repair work" and power was restored to all affected customers by 20:30.
In their statement, ESB apologised to everyone impacted for the disruption caused.
