A number of Eoghan Rua commemoration events will take place in Co Cavan this weekend.
Historic soldier, Eoghan Rua Ó Néill, was the nephew of Hugh O'Neill the 2nd Earl of Tyrone.
Cavan County Council has organised a program of events which will look at different elements of Eoghan Rua's story.
