A Cavan hotelier says his energy bill has increased 154 per cent since 2019.
Businesses across Ireland have been experiencing major cost increases in electricity supply since the start of the year, as suppliers up the unit price.
Tony Walker says the Slieve Russell Hotel has taken steps to reduce consumption, but needs to maintain a high standard of care for guests.
He said increases have also been seen in things like the cost of food, sand for the golf course and even purchasing mattresses.
Speaking on The Wider View, Tony Walker said he's preparing for it to get even more expensive.
