Emergency services tackle blaze at Clones business

An industrial fire has taken hold at an industrial premises in Clones.

Four fire service appliances and Gardaí are currently at the scene.

The blaze broke out at a premises on McCurtain Street earlier this afternoon. A Garda spokesperson told Northern Sound emergency services now have the fire under control but are advising local residents to keep their doors and windows to minimise the effects of fumes and smoke.

While there are no road closures at this time, the Garda also advised people to avoid the area if possible.
