Emergency repairs works underway along N3 near Virginia

Repair works are commencing today on a damaged embankment along the N3 at Cornaslieve close to Virginia Town.

This follows damage that was caused by an overturned lorry along the busy route in recent weeks.

Cavan County Council say there will be an intermittent stop go system in operation for periods of the works.

The works begin this morning and will conclude on Friday, delays are expected in the area over the next few days.
