Members of the public from across Co Monaghan are invited to a public meeting in Glaslough this evening.
The event has been organised to highlight the anger that is palpable over plans to erect a 20m telecommunications mast in the area.
An Bord Pleanála recently granted Vodafone permission to erect the mast in the centre of the tidy towns award-winning village.
Over 91 objections were lodged against the proposal and residents now believe that the appeals process has failed them.
This evening’s ‘emergency meeting’ takes place at 6:30pm in the local community centre.
"The voices of those who objected to this have not been heard or listened to," a spokesperson added.
"The appeals process has failed us.
"And, as you can imagine, residents are upset and angered by this decision."
