The location at which people receive their Covid-19 vaccine will be decided by Eircode rather than county boundaries.
That's according to the Chair of Longford County Council, Paul Ross, who says peoples vaccination appointments will be made at the closet centre to them geographically, rather than being automatically made at their county centre.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, he also says that capacity at vaccine centres will be linked to local demand for the jab, through the new vaccine booking portal.
The vaccination centres at the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan and Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan are expected to be fully operational shortly.
